My Story
I am an intuitive psychic counselor and healer giving readings
since 1975. I knew I was psychic as a teen but kept it to myself because I
wanted to fit in – plus, I had no idea what to do with the information I was
receiving.
I went into retail visual merchandising and display after graduating from Syracuse University with my B. A. in Fine Arts. After four years of changing mannequins, covering pads, installing window displays and other assorted interesting tasks; I felt the need for more meaning in my life. I decided to develop the psychic part of my skill set.
I learned palmistry from an Indian yogi, many books and practice palms. I started giving readings professionally a year later.
My retail career morphed into management. I became the Manager of Visual Merchandising for several large department stores and then the Director of VM for three chains of stores over a 15-year period. I wrote a book on visual merchandising in 1984 and taught at Parsons School of Design for 12 years while working free-lance for many large corporations, independent retailers and small chains of stores.
I currently speak around the world on all aspects of retail design, display, color, visual merchandising and emotional selling.
In 1992 I started learning about Feng Shui. I studied it over the years, incorporating it into all my retail design work as well as home and office design. It is a wonderful combination of the metaphysical and the physical worlds, the practical and the divine.
I give intuitive Feng Shui consultations based on my psychic insights combined with the Black Sect Tantric Buddhist School of Feng Shui. I work with all types of spaces with respect for my clients taste and desired “look.”
My book “Feng Shui for Retailers” was published in 2006 by ST Publications and is available through www.lindacahan.com or via amazon.com.
I write articles for retail publications, am a columnist for three magazines and consult nationally and internationally for all types of retailers on design, visuals, renovation and training staffs in display and merchandising.
My psychic abilities and Feng Shui experience are invaluable during a consult, as I see not just what the customer sees but also behind the scenes. I discover the information that influences the success – or lack of success– in a retail environment.
I give a workshop several times a year on “Finding the Love of Your Life” at New Renaissance Bookstore in Portland, OR. www.newrenbooks.com
After being single for 17 years after an early, not so great marriage, I learned a lot about love from my clients and from my own experiences. I work with a lot of people who are having difficulties in their relationships. When appropriate, I connect them with my husband, Christopher Stopa, (www.chrisstopalpc.com) who is a licensed professional counselor, a marriage and family therapist and an excellent energy healer who has worked over the years with hundreds of families, couples and individuals with relationship issues. |
